Firebot

Firebot can award trophies from commands, events, channel rewards, and other effect lists. Your trophycase.gg account is linked to your Twitch account, and the recipient is identified by their Twitch username.

Choose Basic Award when an effect always awards the same trophy. Choose Advanced Reusable Effect List when you want one shared request that can award any trophy.

Fastest setup

Open your trophy in Manage Trophies, then choose Firebot under Award with a web request → Basic → Choose your bot. Copy the prepared value: your keys, trophy code, and username variable are already filled in. Follow the steps shown there. The manual instructions below are an alternative, not additional required steps. For an unmodified URL used by those manual instructions, choose Default / Manual Setup.

Before you begin

You need:

  • A trophycase.gg account linked to your Twitch account
  • At least one trophy created in addition to the Participation Trophy
  • Your Award ID and Award Secret
  • Firebot connected to your Twitch account

Firebot includes an HTTP Request effect, so no plugin or additional utility is required.

Basic Award

Use this method when a command, event, or reward always awards one specific trophy.

1. Open the effect list

Open the Firebot command, event, or channel reward that should award the trophy. Switch to Advanced Mode if Firebot asks, then select Add New Effect.

2. Add the request

Search for and select HTTP Request, then configure it as follows:

Setting Value
Method POST
URL Your trophy's complete award URL

Copy the award URL from the trophy's Manage Trophies page. Replace TWITCH_USERNAME at the end with Firebot's $user variable.

The finished URL follows this format:

https://trophycase.gg/a/YOUR_AWARD_ID/YOUR_AWARD_SECRET/TROPHY_CODE/$user

Leave Include Twitch auth header off; Trophy Case does not need your Twitch access token. Leave the Basic request body empty. Firebot documents these options in its HTTP Request implementation.

Save the effect. When the effect list runs, $user is replaced with the Twitch username connected to the trigger.

Advanced Reusable Effect List

Use this method to keep one trophycase.gg request in Firebot and supply a different Trophy Code wherever you run it.

1. Create a preset effect list

Open Firebot's Preset Effect Lists and create one named:

trophycase.gg - Award Trophy

Add an argument named:

trophyCode

Inside a preset effect list, Firebot makes that value available as $presetListArg[trophyCode].

2. Add the reusable request

Add an HTTP Request effect to the preset effect list and configure it as follows:

Setting Value
Method POST
URL https://trophycase.gg/a/
Content Type application/json

Use your Award ID and Award Secret from Settings, then enter this request body:

{
  "award_id": "YOUR_AWARD_ID",
  "award_secret": "YOUR_AWARD_SECRET",
  "twitch_username": "$user",
  "trophy_code": "$presetListArg[trophyCode]"
}

Save the HTTP Request effect and the preset effect list.

3. Run it from another effect list

Open the command, event, or reward that should award a trophy.

  1. Add a Run Effect List effect.
  2. Select Preset Effect List.
  3. Select trophycase.gg - Award Trophy.
  4. Set the trophyCode argument to the code of the trophy this trigger should award.
  5. Save the effect.

Firebot supplies $user from the original trigger and passes your selected Trophy Code into $presetListArg[trophyCode]. Repeat this final step anywhere you want to award another trophy.

Award results

trophycase.gg returns awarded, already_owned, or shelf_not_added. See Award Responses for the complete JSON responses and messages.
